Center for 21st Century Innovation and Outreach
The Hispanic Alliance for Progress has established The Center for 21st Century Innovation
and Outreach to execute its core mission: the efficient delivery of new solutions
and initiatives.
New public policies developed to address or avert problems are only half of the
equation. Implementation of these policies must be effective or resources are wasted.
Only the successful design and execution of new initiatives will ultimately provide
the intended results for the specific constituency / target audience.
To date, and as evidenced by the magnitude of issues affecting the Hispanic population,
efforts by Hispanic serving institutions must be greatly expanded.
HAP leadership plans to embrace an entrepreneurial strategy, building new alliances
and partnerships, and leveraging technology to create channels for effective information
dissemination, education, and new economic and social opportunity models.
The Center plans to re-define access to opportunity by providing its constituents
better access to existing opportunities, as well as deploying innovative options
for progress.
"When I talk to people around the country I sometimes tell them that within the
Hispanic community there is a shared hope for an opportunity to succeed. 'Just give
me a chance to prove myself' -- that is a common prayer for those in my community."
Alberto Gonzalez, Appointed to serve as Attorney General of the United States
